What exactly is it?? Would most police know what to look for? Is it just a matter of looking under the car to check? Sports cat seems to be the way to go maybe? My decat didnt make any difference to noise although thats just decat, yet to fit downpipe , but coupled with an apexi filter made spool up MUCH earlier :nod:.
I changed my exhaust both cats removed with slight apprehention, but all is well. I haven't noticed any difference in the fuel econemy, based on my driving style not having changed since i've had the exhaust fitted. Is there really any risk in doing this?
What would happen if you were caught etc? Its just that my car is over boosting got new adjustable actuator being fitted on thursday also have de-cat pipe to fit. Category: automotive road side assistance. Make the car fail its mot, but you just install the cat back in for that:D.
No side affects as such. The reason you'd fit one is to help the engine's breathing and power output, both of which will affect your petrol bill. It'll also sound louder, but on a standard exhaust it'll be easilly bearable.
